Introduction
We are a manufacturer of innovative, world leading, high-end loudspeakers. The design of our products reflects our no compromise engineering approach. Using custom components which are mostly hidden away and building each unit in-house, finishing each unit with a hand polish to enhance the deep luster and shine of the chosen colour, we can ensure our products deliver a listening experience not to be forgotten.
For almost 8 years now the partnership of skills in our company has delivered products which feature not only innovative engineering but rendering almost invisible acoustic performances. Winning awards, winning over skeptics from home aesthetic to audiophiles…… Our winning combination of the development team, headed by Laurence Dickie (Dic), coupled with the sales and marketing direction from Philip Guttentag means we now offer sales and support around the world, from an impressive list of dealers.

State of the Art Sound
Over millions of years man has evolved to possess hearing with a remarkable sensitivity to resonances and reflections as a matter of survival since much vital information can be deduced about the surrounding environment by listening for subtle changes in these effects.
Resonances and reflections are the natural consequence of having voids and discontinuities in the sound field and are an integral part of the character of every musical instrument, but a monitor loudspeaker is not a musical instrument; it is a window onto the original performance and, as such, should be as clear and transparent as possible. Vivid Audio, pioneers of state-of-the-art sound systems, believes that the subjective transparency of a loudspeaker system is closely related to the reduction of these two aberrations. Every effort is made to keep them to a minimum by paying the greatest attention to every detail of the design.
It is this approach which leads to enclosures which are so free of sharp edges. Gently swept spline curves define the cabinet shape, ensuring that the emerging wave-front encounters no perturbation. All aspects of the enclosure design are created using solid modelling to produce these seamless curves and precision features.
Such a smooth form and fine enclosure results in a wide mid-band dispersion, which narrows gradually and evenly with ascending frequency. This natural sounding polar performance integrates with a wide variety of listening environments to give a gently falling power response, a quality widely acclaimed as being highly desirable.
It would be extremely wasteful of materials to make such rounded shapes from sheet materials so all Vivid Audio enclosures are moulded from high performance composites. These materials not only free the designer from any shape restriction but can offer enhanced properties over the traditional alternatives. The doubly curved form of the cabinet walls possesses a high degree of intrinsic rigidity, further enhanced by moulded lateral bracing, which two factors ensure that the resonant modes are sufficiently high in frequency to be out of band.
Vivid Audio is one of a very select band of manufacturers in the world today who still make all their drivers, crossovers and cabinets in-house. An enthusiastic R&D team continues to make valuable and innovative contributions to the art having developed seven patented or pat-pending technologies to date.
These outstanding qualities have resulted in unprecedented sound reproduction borne out by reviews and international awards.
